A new Feature Pack 2 has been released for SharePoint Server 2016 as part of the September CU (September 2017 CU).
SharePoint Server 2016 Feature Pack 2 introduces support for SharePoint Framework (SPFx), enabling the use of SharePoint Framework v.1.0 client-side web parts on classic SharePoint pages.
Feature Pack 2 also includes all features from Feature Pack 1, namely:
- MinRole enhancements
- SharePoint Custom Tiles
- Hybrid Taxonomy
- Administrative Actions Logging
- OneDrive API for SharePoint on-premises and Office 365
- SharePoint Hybrid Auditing
- OneDrive for Business modern experience
Feature Pack 2 is available by installing the September CU (September 2017 CU), which includes it.

If you are considering using SharePoint Framework for SharePoint Online as well, you must use the current SharePoint Framework version, which is SharePoint Framework v.1.0.2. This version difference exists because SharePoint Server 2016 and SharePoint Online have different feature release cycles, and you must always use the current SharePoint Framework version for the relevant product.
