Group Policy Reporting and Modeling

Planning new Group Policies or troubleshooting existing ones can be difficult in a complex corporate network and restriction structure. Two tools simplify this work: Group Policy Reporting and Group Policy Modeling and they are available in the administration console Group Policy Management

Group Policy Reporting

Group Policy Result is equivalent to the command gpresult.exe. It shows how policies were applied for a selected computer and user. Results can be collected only locally or from a computer reachable through RPC (remote procedure call) on port 135, and for a user who has signed in at least once so policies have already applied.

 For Group Polocy Result to work correctly, the following service must be running: RSOP (Resullt and setting of polices).

Group Policy Modeling

Group Policy Modeling simulates policy application with a range of settings.
