To my surprise, a third new Joomla edition, 2.5, has arrived.
Officially, Joomla 2.5 is the real successor to 1.5, so let us treat 1.6 and 1.7 as the "Windows Vista" releases 🙂
Joomla 2.5 – comments on the new release
Joomla 2.5 was released in January 2012, as the successor to Joomla 1.5. Joomla 2.5 is a so-called long-term release, expected to remain until July 2013. Versions 1.6 and 1.7 were therefore short-term releases that paved the way for Joomla 2.5.
